"Remember Us Jaja?"

So I know this post is hella late...but better late than later! We just want to give shout-outs to a couple of people we met on the second day of that Pistahan Festival in August. There we were, walking from one section of the Yerba Buena Gardens to the other section wearing our kick-ass "Super Manny T's" when we were approached and met by this guy wearing orange pants:

He's a hair and make up stylist who has worked on a number of models, actors, actresses, & celebrities including "American Idol" Finalist Jasmine Trias!

Maybe he approached us cause he thought we needed some work ourselves! Or maybe cause my hair was cut all wrong (and I do cut my own hair thanks)! Well, anyways the guy was real nice. How nice? So much so that he introduced us to Jaja Bolivar!!!

That's right JAJA BOLIVAR!!!

Jaja Bolivar! Ms. Adobo Nation! She has appeared on numerous television shows, television ads, stageplays and radio shows in the Philippines. You don't believe us? Check her out on Youtube!

Back to the story - we talked a bit, but she was kinda taking pictures with some people there. She too was real nice and hella cool! She saw our "Super Manny T's" and digged it! She probably doesn't remember us (...yet, that is...haha!) but hey, she got 3 shirts from us! That really made our day at the Pistahan Festival! And she was cool enough to take this picture with me and Chris! So, thank you guys for supporting us! We really really appreciate it!

The Champ is Here!

A new Odd Hero Design is now available...Super Manny. A play on the beloved video game turns into a shirt of a beloved fighter. The shirt seems to get a great response among people of different ethnicities which is the ultimate compliment. I designed this shirt for two reasons.

1. I love Manny Pacquiao. He is Pound 4 Pound the #1 boxer of our generation, perhaps of all-time.
2. I'm tired of the same manny shirt out there. All of them seem pretty similar and so serious. This felt like a fun design a lot of people can enjoy.

Pistahan Festival 2009

So Brian and I hit up the Pistahan Festival today at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Gardens. It was pretty dope. Lot of people, food and entertainment. We tried to get the Odd Hero word out and people were pretty receptive to the super manny shirts. There were lots of booths selling shirts, and cops trying to recruit...LOL. Welcome to The Odd Hero blogspot! This is our current place of operations, so please don't bag on it too much! Who are we? We're a couple of down-to-earth, friends since high school (& that's a long time), geeks from the Bay Area who have always wanted to create things that represented our diverse culture and background. I mean, how many times have you asked yourself "Damn, I wish there was a shirt that had such and such on it?" We have! We really love those designs on shirts that have a certain meaning to us or that we can relate to. But often times we can't find what we'd really want to see on shirts, and we find ourselves scratching our heads thinking "Where the hell do you think they sell that?!" So out of this frustration, we felt the need to fill this void! We want to bring you products that are carefully thought out to represent you! We don't want you wearing that same 'ol crap that charges you $50 a shirt that's thin as hell and doesn't even really represent you! So here we are! We're coming to save the day like an Odd Hero!
